Ashlea Baker Swimwear is a British, female-owned independent swimwear brand creating handmade bikinis and swimsuits, designed and made by Ashlea.

Founded from a love of creativity, sunshine and making things by hand, the brand takes a small-batch approach to swimwear. Every piece is designed and individually handmade in the UK, with a focus on original prints, considered silhouettes and fully lined swimwear made to be enjoyed season after season.

The Story

Now based between London and Marbella, Ashlea draws inspiration from both sides of her life. From the creative energy of London to the sunshine, beaches and slower pace of life in southern Spain, the brand is rooted in a love of summer and a desire to create swimwear that feels as good as it looks.

Ashlea is involved in every part of the business, from sketching, designing and sewing each piece to customer care, branding, marketing, content and everything in between. Keeping the business small and hands-on means every piece is created with genuine care and attention.

The Ethos

With body-positive values at its core, Ashlea Baker Swimwear exists to help women feel comfortable, confident and empowered in what they wear.

As a slow fashion brand, Ashlea Baker Swimwear takes a considered approach to production, creating in small quantities rather than producing in excess. Recycled and eco-conscious fabrics are used wherever possible, fabric offcuts are repurposed or recycled, and all packaging is free from single-use plastic. Quality, originality and longevity are at the heart of each collection, with pieces designed to become favourites rather than one-season purchases.
